This Is How A 27,000 Square Foot Cattle Mart Became The Fastest Indoor Go Kart Track In Ireland

We Wanted A Go Kart Track, We Settled For An Old Cattle Mart.

Trying to find a suitably sized unit for a Go Karting Track in Ireland was no easy feat. Indoor Go Kart tracks require regular maintenance, reasonably large floor space (for obvious reasons) and due to weather conditions in Ireland we decided that an outdoor Go Karting arena just would not be suitable.

When we found the Old Cattle Mart in Waterford, it ticked all the right boxes bar one - It required a complete overhaul.

Our journey began with tearing out all of the steel 6ft posts, bringing the interior back to life, and finally having our track floor professionally laid.

Irelands Fastest Indoor Go Karting Track Is Born

After professionally designing our track and utilizing as much of our 27,000 square foot floor space as we possibly could, we were able to open up Non-Stop Karting Ireland in 2018.

Upon opening the track, we took to the exterior of the building, carrying out landscaping to the front of the building to provide easily accessible on-site free parking.

We then ensured that we put a priority on having the best Indoor Go Karts available as well as ensuring that maintenance of both Go Karts and the track itself is regularly carried out.

SAFETY IS OUR PRIORITY

The safety of our drivers is paramount to us. That's why we regularly inspect both our track and our Go Karts, maintaining the mechanical integrity of every vehicle on the track.

Before hitting the track at top speeds, we give all drivers a professional safety briefing and introduction to the handling of the vehicles on the track.

We also provide everyone who wants them with a drivers jump suit to protect both themselves and their clothing. Finally, all drivers are required to wear a Helmet which we provide on the day, as well as providing brand new gloves and balaclavas.
